Six Months Today!

Today... as the title will tell you, Ryker is 6 months old!!

Here is what we've been up to:

Stats: 17 lbs 15 oz, 26 5/8 in long

Favorite Activities:

• Crawling
• Sitting up with little support
• Chewing on his hands, toes, Mommy's shoes, toys, blankets, dog toys, cords, tablets... EVERYTHING!
• Racing in his walker
• Helping load the diswasher
• Reading/eating books
• Sleeping with Mom and Dad

Biggest Trials:

• No more binky = Mom is now the pacifier
• Sleeping in his crib
• Getting Sadie to play

New Experiences:

 Ryker is now eating solids, and still fully breastfed! We have started him on rice cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes, sweet peas, and soon carrots. We tried green beans and this was his reaction:

Favorite Time of Year!

As many of you know... It's Fall!

I love fall for many reasons, some of which I will share with you. But first, I want to take the time publicly to thank my Heavenly Father for all of my wonderful blessings! I can't even imagine how my life would be if I didn't have such a wonderful religious opportunity that lifts me up and helps me stay positive in a world of conflicting views, religious turmoil, and civil uprising. I am so grateful for my knowledge of the Plan of Salvation (Link Here for Info) and for my beautiful son who brings happiness and trials to my everyday life.

Onto my topic!!

Reason I love fall:

• Beautiful colors
• Crisp, cool air
• No need for expensive A/C
• Pumpkins
• Turkey
• Soup
• Chili's
• Rain!!

I am so excited to share this time of year with Ryker! All of these experiences are so new to him and it is so fun to explore them again with a new set of eyes.  Speaking of Ryker, this is what he's been up too: 

Five Months Old

Ryker is now five months old and learning so much!

He has figured out how to scoot all over the floor, he is such a mover! His teeth keep teasing us, some days there are swollen bumps and lots of drool, but then the next they are back to normal. He giggles all the time and loves to be tickled! He started rice cereal a week ago. He loves it and is such a clean eater. He is still breastfeeding and we are pros now! Ryker loves to take walks and sit in his walker and move all over the kitchen. He has decided that the swing is too little for him, and that he doesn't like sitting in it any more.

He has grown too big for the bassinette and it is officially time to get a crib. He is a good sleeper, in that he will sleep for an hour or two before waking up to find me. He still sleeps with us, but soon, when he is on more solids, we will move him to his own bed.

He now wears 6-9 month clothes because his little belly and his long body are too big for 3-6 now. I love him so much! Here is a video for your viewing pleasure:
